Instructions
1. Pour the pickle juice into a saucepan and sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the surface. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
2. Place the saucepan over low heat and gently stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not allow the mixture to boil.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the vodka and sugar, if using.
4. Carefully pour the mixture into small shot cups.
5. Add a small piece of chopped pickle or a pickle slice into each cup.
6. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until the shots are fully set.
Serving Tips
- Add a few drops of hot sauce on top for extra heat
- Rim the shot cups with chili salt or Tajín
- Serve chilled for the best flavor
Notes:
Do not exceed a 1:1 ratio of alcohol to liquid, or the shots may not set properly. You can adjust the spice level based on your preference. These pickle shots are perfect for parties and should be clearly labeled when serving.
